Starting from 11.11.2024, intense clashes and confrontations have occurred within Pale Township, Yinmarbin District, Sagaing Region. The military council’s side conducted air strikes and attacked civilian areas, also burning down residential houses. As a result, approximately 15,000 people from 22 villages, including children, elderly, and people with disabilities, have been forced to flee to safer areas. It has been reported that these displaced people urgently require immediate assistance in the form of food, shelter, and medical supplies.
The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has coordinated with members of public administrative body and humanitarian coordinators to distribute emergency food supplies and shelter to displaced people in Pale Township, Yinmarbin Township, and Salingyi Township.
With deepest gratitude, the Ministry would like to thank to the humanitarian coordinators and donors from various townships who have worked to ensure that emergency food supplies and shelter are delivered directly to the displaced people.
