The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government would like to report that we were able to provide humanitarian assistance worth 1,222 million kyats to those in genuine need during September 2024. This information is shared to encourage mutual support between the government and the public.
The Humanitarian Assistance worth 1,222 million kyats, which are donations from the revolutionary people to the people donations, were used in the following sectors:
- 366.1 million kyats for emergency food supplies for 101,360 internally displaced persons/conflict affected civilians
- 59.5 million kyats as emergency humanitarian aid for 257 heroic civilians who lost their lives in armed conflicts and 446 injured individuals
- 5.7 million kyats as emergency humanitarian aid for Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) staff
- 3.1 million kyats as emergency humanitarian aid for political prisoners and their family members
- 721.6 million kyats for victims of natural disasters
- 66.2 million kyats for general humanitarian assistance
- Support provided to 741,604 conflict-affected civilians across various states and regions during the month of September, along with details of flood response situations in different areas.
While reporting on the Ministry’s support activities for the month of September, we would like to express our respect and pride for each and every person who has been participating in the revolution, enduring various hardships while focusing on the success of the revolution during these three years. We encourage everyone to continue working together with the same unwavering determination.
