Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government has been providing emergency food and relief materials to the war IDPs, fleeing their homes, who have taken refuge in areas of Shan State (South), Than-Taung-Gyi Township in Karen State and IDP camps in Karenni State.
In coordination with Karenni State Counseling Committee (KSCC) and other local ethnic partner organisations, the Ministry has provided over 99 million Kyats worth of supplies since January 1, 2022.
The Ministry will continue its assistance to IDPs on needy basis.
