Providing humanitarian assistance for IDPs in Mindat Township, Chin State

The military junta has been launching offensives in wards and villages of various places in Myanmar, targeting religious buildings, schools and hospitals, using disproportionate forces against locals, and committing inhumane oppressions on a daily basis. Because of these war crimes, over 13,000 civilians from the villages in Mindat Township, Chin State, had to flee their homes and hide in the jungle where there are no shelter, scarce of food and water supply, and various other difficulties for daily life activities.

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management supported 3 million Kyats worth of emergency food supplies, clothing, rain resistant tarpaulins, nutrient powder packs for children, and medicines for 500 IDPs from 14 villages. The Ministry is also using every means to provide humanitarian assistance to the people affected by conflict and civil servants taking part in the Civil Disobedience Movement and facing various oppressions of the military junta.
