Youths and civilians had to flee from their homes and cities and became IDPs in border areas due to the brutality of the military junta.
To help those affected IDPs, Myanmar communities around the world, together with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management donated 6.5 million MMK worth of medical supplies and equipment as follow:
- Medicines and equipment sets worth of 450, 000 MMK – 5 sets to Karen State, 1 set to Kachin State, 1 set to Mon State
- Medical trauma kit set worth of 590,000 MMK – 1 set to Yangon Division
- Supply of medicines to one of the hospitals in Ethnic region
- Surgical and labour room equipment
- ECG machine
- Glucometer
- Pulse oximeter
- Suction equipment
- Compressor Nebulizer
