The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, National Unity Government Myanmar, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held its inauguration coordination meeting.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, National Unity Government Myanmar held its inauguration coordination meeting on April 23rd 2021 and the Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye, Deputy Union Minister Naw Htoo Phaw, and other officials attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Union Minister made a call for unity and cooperation saying that all are risking their own lives to establish eternal peace in the country and the Federal Democratic Republic.
Then, with the objectives for the equitable distribution of humanitarian assistance for the people of Myanmar who have suffered from the military coup and subsequent atrocities conducted by armed forces, and for the ethnic minorities who have endured over the past 70 years, the policy, vision, standards, strategic process, and prioritised tasks of the Ministry were discussed to ensure they are following the federal system.
Exploring ways for effective implementation of aid services on the ground, establishing networks of cooperation, ensuring the Ministry’s efforts towards the building of the new Federal Democratic Republic, and developing an organizational structure that promotes efficient implementation and inclusiveness were discussed.
The meeting also highlighted the fact that conducting need assessments and developing costed plans are needed for designing projects to deliver humanitarian assistance in the required areas across the country.
